if im reading that right you have a ford engine:confused: in a landy and they want 2.5k to mess with it????????????

Jesus I wouldnt trust a Main Dealer with holding an ice cream if it was -120...... Id buy it and see how you find the car first of all,,, also check for wher you stan on warranty issues. Land Rover will wriggle out of any warranty claim that they can blaim the "engine tune " on ie the whole engine, the gear box, transfer box, shafts etc etc

having done a fair few miles in a d90 tdci, id say that going over 82mph is not advised or pleasurable, and ive found acceleration through the gears good (6 def helps) as long as your willing to push the revs towards 3k... 2.5k sounds a lot, better waxoyling it and having a holiday somewhere IMO! interested to hear how it works if you do go for something though! david

i've had a re map on my 2009 tdci 90, it cost me 150 quid at monster tuning in bridgnorth shropshire...., my 90 is noticably more powerful, (not that i gun it, far from it) i was looking for a bit more mpg, this hasn't happened sadly, it is nicer to drive though, you seem able to comfortably pull a higher gear than before the tune
