Hi Guys

I brought my dream landy about 4 months ago, looged 5000 miles on the clock since. Defender 90 300tdi CSW, coniston green. By the look of the servicing doc's exported out to SARAJEVO in 1998 to work in the airport. Only 64000 miles on the clock when i brought her, and in excellent condition. Complete service history, so she's a peach. I live in Plymouth, Devon, but work in deepest darkest cornwall in a baotyard in the middle of nowhere. Its a great place for me and the landy.:)

Trying to touch base with other landrover friendly people down this neck of the woods i.e club etc. Plus any good green lane routes. Just like to say its great to be part of this landrover community.

Morning Guys

Treworey 90, i think i will stick to going against the flow of traffic going to work and home thanks. Any decent green lane routes around your neck of the woods??

Tim

I work in a place called Boating World, its about 2.5miles from a place called Landrake which is just off the A38. Its alongside the River Lyhner, big boatyard, deal mainly in boat storage, engine and boat repair. Its owned by 2 ex-navy guys, one of which is a big Landrover nut, he's got a TD5 all chipped up and uses it as a landy should be used, the sort of guy that will get it covered in mud and then drive it up to London to shown the chelsea tractors how it should be used. He's also got a wreck of a series 1, that is a wreck, and needs stripping and re-building. Great place to work for and very friendly. We have both been trying to get in contact with the Devon & Cornwall landrover club, but they seem abit shy on replying via e-mail.

Percy Pongo eh you weren' t by any chance a squaddy at some point in your life were you? If you were how does working with two ex navy types go down?

Boating World eh - that brings back memories!
Me and me mate used to rent the shooting all round there. The ducks are quite challenging when you're down on the marsh and they're coming in over the viaduct!

Yep, Army, its always good to be on hand to point the Navy in the right direction. They always tend to go aground a few times in they lifes. Seriously, good bunch to work for, family atmosphere and we have a good laugh. Quality of life, thats what its about nowadays, hence the Landy.;)

When you consider that you probably spend more time at work than at home I think that finding a job that you enjoy and have a laugh at and you also get on with everybody is very important. They are about as easy to come by as rocking horse crap.
