Is me :) I just went to look at my door lock (see other thread) and just before I attacked it with tools I tried the key in the lock. oops it opens :)

Was me last week. Spent about 15 minutes trying to leaver my palls jammed rear door handle down before realising that the Land Rover badge comes out giving access to just push it down.

I'm not alone then.
I decided to replace a side light bulb I knew I could do it easy and without removing the headlamp.. but the bulb fell into the headlamp so it's out with the headlamp but first remove the lamp guard.

Lamp out and removed the main bulb and the side light bulb droped out, fitted a new bulb, replaced main bulb, replaced lamp, replaced the lamp guard, but forgot to plug in the main bulb and the plug and lead was laying outside the lamp box.

So it all had to come out again 5 mins job turned into 1/2 hour or so :).

I managed to put my ingition key into one of the side compartments in the boot with a dog lead and a couple of dummies. Then couldn't find the key. Used the spare, but that night was worried silly that I'd dropped it on the road, someone had picked it up and was going to come back to steal the Disco. Parked son's car to block it in and went to bed thinking about having to replace all the locks and re-mortgage the house! Thankfully I found them the next day. Doh!

Bought my 300tdi in 2007, the boot never opened unless you opened it from the inside using the handle and pulling up the lock thing, key didn't work so I assumed the lock was ronnied.

Anyway, I was moving house and went through all my keys and found the spare set the guy had given me, one had 'D' marked on it.

D is for door, and I can now open my boot from the outside... after 4 years of looking like a complete **** climbing through the back to open the door in shop car parks.

A donar 2 door discovery I have wouldnt let me get in through the back door either. Needed to cut the wheel arches out for use in my range rover so out came the 9 inch grinder.. Door put up a fair fight but I won in the end!
