I need someone to define the common issues associated with PCM malfunctioning. Am currently stuck in Honduras and my 2001 LR2 Discovery II (gas) won't start and we've tried replacing the crank shaft sensor but that wasn't the issue.
The next option is replacing the computer (if I can find one for a reasonable price) but I need to know whether you can just replace the unit without any specific computer software. Am being told that you need to "recalibrate" the computer and it requires specific software. Could someone please confirm this process?
or simply...how do you resolve malfunctioning PCM unit.
