Hi all I have a TD4 2005 - just had the regulators changed on two windows. ONe went perfectly well the second, the rear right did not.

The chap who did them stated the power was getting from switches to the regulator, he said he could hear the relay going too - however, it never moved. He added he felt it could be the motor in the new part.

At one point he mentioned wiring but ruled that out after some tests, anyone got any ideas please? He is coming back but to be honest its driving me mad. I have a changed a few of these so know its not a hard process!

From memory, there's 2 wires at the motor. If there's power there, try old motor. If it is the motor either return complete regulator or swap the motors.

Power the motor from another 12 Volt power source. If the motor moves, then it's not that. Or just use the old motor if that was working.

I don't replace the whole assembly myself, as only the cable fails, so that's what I change.

I will have to see what I can do - the part I bought was new maybe thats screwed up :( I tired another switch on the off chance it was that. will have a look see if I have an old motor kicking about from other changes in the past see if that works - I actually hate cars at times!
