Good afternoon

I have just come back to been a Landy owner and have a 2007/2008 XS Disco 3.

can anyone recommend where to buy parts I used to use

Bearmach
Paddocks
John Craddock

are these the best for D3 parts?

thanks

All have their up and downs, personally pretty much everything I need I get off of ebay.

For oil and fuel filters only use genuine land rover, the rest pretty much any make will do.

Also bear in mind many will say x supplier is better than y supplier, but they are all selling the same stuff in different boxes!

Plus 1 ^^^^^^^

also there’s

advanced , They offer a 5% discount , discount code AF4LRP , never had an issue and very helpful if u call them

Island 4x4

I used to use Island all the time, then they went online only, and their webiste is a pita to navigate, for example clutch for a 90, select model, select clutch, select engine type, then try and choose which clutch to buy (britpart 40 quid:D really who the fcuk is going to buy that!) or go on ebay enter land rover defender 200tdi clutch, choose a make/price you are happy with job done.
As for af I have not got a good word to say about them!

I use Advanced Factors, as the prices are good, the products are good, and the people there are LR enthusiasts, so use the same parts on their own vehicles. ;)

Avoid Craddocks at the mo. i'm not the only one complaining about them. They still owe me money and no sign of parts ordered months ago and comms non existent.

Also try your Land Rover dealer. I bought some genuine LR parts at nearly 40% cheaper than Craddocks. They only buy it direct from the dealers themselves, and mark it up, so cut out the middle man. If you can get the part number from LRCAT, then do an internet search, for the cheapest supplier.

are you sure, i doubt any retailer would only use lr

LR for genuine parts I mean. Went in there to buy a AAT sensor, and the guy told me to pop into LR as they would only have to order it from LR themselves. Saved me quite a bit.

odd parts at certain times perhaps ,but britpart sell lr genuine parts cheaper generally to the trade and to dealers with some bits

footnote re Craddocks, they finally got back to me, admitted they were still on order with no eta and are now refunding me, but I have grown another growth ring since this all started!
