Parts suppliers are shocking

Does anyone have a good experience with a landrover parts supplier? I have had the following go wrong in the last month

1) Nothing their website says is in stock is actually in stock. It is all at Britpart and Terrafirma until you order it. Then they order it in and eventually send it to you.

2) Lack of knowledge. Being told that parts don't exist and then finding them on the suppliers own website. Not being able to tell what is included in a kit.

3) "We don't stock [basic service part] for the TD5. It is very old now. " There were 3 TD5s outside that building!

4) wrong parts in the wrong box. Filthy pre used parts reboxed and palmed off on me....but not even the right part. Stuck in a box with a handwritten label with the wrong part number.

5) terrible customer service. You will need to bring the broken one back before I can send you a new one...i live 40 miles away can you collect....wait a few days for a reply...truck is off the road in the mean time

6) terrible customer service 2. Ok I'll drive over, has other part arrived that I wanted? No idea....

Which one

Delt with bottom two no issues so far but I do struggle to find parts sometimes, websites deny having the part I just looked at

Many are let down by sending via the cheapest delivery services, on a hundred quid + order sending by evri or similar is just not on, if the option was to pay a bit more for a reputable delivery company then some of the above may sell more parts,

My "go to" supplier is Britcar

My mate Charlie recommended these chaps for my MG.

Most of the time I loose money hand over fist with these, even get snotty replies.
Good blokes really first rate.

You can't beat Blanchards, Craddocks have always been a bit mixed for me, no experience of the others.

My go to is Advanced Factors. Only had one issue where the wrong fuel filter was supplied, but a quick phone call had the correct one on my doorstep in 24 hours.

I use Paddocks with out problems, sometimes use Ebay.
Have used JGS before without a problem but stopped after they took away the blue light card discount.

That's a handy card, saved me a few quid since I've had it.

I use Buckley Brothers in Darwen because they are local and I can go and pick the parts up. Many are in stock but if not usually next day for collection - but I still ring before going to collect. It is a couple of brothers that have been supplying LR parts for years, so lots of experience and advice available.

I have found Paddocks reasonable but they really p****d me of when I was desperately awaiting delivery of parts which were not turning up. A couple of days after I expected delivery I rang them only to be told "sorry we haven't sent your £200+ list of parts as we don't have the 30p washer in stock, but will dispatch it when the order is complete ". I didn't actually need the 30p washer but added it to the order for a future service. I ended up cancelling that part and they dispatched the rest of the order but I found the lack of communication disappointing - though no issues with the parts when they arrived.

Forgot to mention have also used Dingocroft when I need something quickly I can collect, find they are usually more expensive though.

LR Direct have always been OK with me. I like the way they generally offer you a choice of manufacturers so you can avoid the cheapest Britpart stuff. Some other suppliers are doing this now, but I think LR Direct were among the first.

Been using Paddock for about 40 years, also use John Craddock on occasion, and have used Brookwells, Dingocroft, and LRP Camborne.

Not really had any problems at all.
