Parts suppliers are shocking

4) wrong parts in the wrong box. Filthy pre used parts reboxed and palmed off on me....but not even the right part. Stuck in a box with a handwritten label with the wrong part number.

5) terrible customer service. You will need to bring the broken one back before I can send you a new one...i live 40 miles away can you collect....wait a few days for a reply...truck is off the road in the mean time

6) terrible customer service 2. Ok I'll drive over, has other part arrived that I wanted? No idea....
You are expecting too much, very few companies will replace a broken part without returning it first, you could be lying, it does happen.
Lots of companies sell things then have it sent direct from suppliers.
I bought a compressor from Paddocks which came direct from supplier, it was cheaper to buy from Paddocks than direct from supplier.
As an aside Land Rover itself are particularly bad for having parts availability.

Use Advanced factors a lot, Island 4x4 mostly for general parts and suspension and brakes etc, decent range and prices never had issues with either of them two.
Recently been using LR parts.net, again choice of cheap and cheerful, britpart etc or OEM or genuine, delivery is day or two, based on Liverpool, was one of the few places able to get coolant hoses for l322 4.2sc.
Won’t use cradocks from everything iv heard it used to be great now it’s horrendous.

Well...

1) lots of companies outside of the parts market are a lot better with fixing their mess ups

2) I don't mind that they wanted to collect the goods, I wanted them to do it in a timely way

3) Sending goods directly from a supplier is great, its called drop-shipping. That is not what happened here, they claimed it was in stock, ordered it from the supplier, took a week, then sent it to me. That is lame

Well, who was it then?

Can't fault jgs4x4, never had an issue with them and they are quick with delivery
Used them a few times without issue just sometimes can’t find or see listing for what would be linked parts eg, changing track control arm on a Range Rover, they sell they arm but not the bolts which given the age or corrosion Will possibly need a new one, or changing handbrake/ general brake overhaul on a Range Rover, they would list handbrake shoes but not a fitting kit just things like that get to me with jgs, otherwise been a good experience when I have used them.
Also used Steve Parker’s in Rochdale, also online, not often as they often sell britpart at hugely inflated prices, to me there about half a hours drive but everything is “available next day” which if it was in stock I may go up but if I’m waiting next day I may aswell order elsewhere where it’s also next day, including delivery and cheaper price to start with.

Consider Buckley Brothers in Darwen if they are near enough for you - but ring them first to check stock. Nice guts that know land rovers.

Did have a look online other day their website isn’t great but like you say sometimes it’s easier to ring and speak to somone. If it’s Darwin area it’s probably half hour/45 mins from me so for some parts it’s worth going.
