Wires tend to rub through in various places, Iirc rear is an arse as its bumper off to access the loom.
Mine tend to sulk when they get wet, so it also has a loom issue, but as they work 95 percent of the time thats good enough for me!
Front fog loom also rubs through.

Nice one will have a look when time allows as this car threw another wobbly today !

hiya

may I ask what year and model ( ie, SE HSE etc ) plse

ref ur parking sensors as above what’s already been mentioned regarding the wires ,

the parking module sits as u look at the boot on the LH side , found a picture for u when I was chasing wiring problems , can see it bolted to the inner wheel arch , the loom plugs in behind the passenger side rear light cluster , worth taking it apart and spraying it , alas is a right so and so to get to and some push the connector behind the bumper , sometimes ur lucky and it’s just there by the rear light cluster, tucked down a little way , if it is out of reach , look up underneath the back bumper ,

plus plse don’t think I’m trying to teach u how to suck eggs, but please DONT ever get under the disco without axle stands , raise the suspension to off road height , then pull fuse F26 from the engine bats fuse box, that will disable the suspension but still need axle stand every time u get under the landy , once again hope u don’t mind me mentioning it

lastly I totally agree with @lynall , they can and do take a little while to iron out the issues so to speak , took nearly 6 x months to just sort out bodges on mine , there awesome motors but just need a bit of care , just take ur time and plenty of us here to help if u get stuck

hope it’s also useful to u

Also if u don’t mind me adding a few pictures of some of the testers I’ve bought over time , multimeter , plus a clamp meter and a test light are also very handy to have , as some circuits can test fine but then fail when u put them under load, ie using a test lead

Plse ignore the fuse box as I just installed that for my 12s socket as that’s how I charge my main battery via a cable for my CTEK charger, but in that area are several earths terminations ,

another great tool is a dremel as u can get small stainless steel wire wheels , make cleaning the earth terminals and post really easy , then reassembling using some copper slip , along with a few cans of electrical cleaner

once again don’t want to come across in trying to be a clever clogs etc , just passing things on what’s helped me considerably over time

hope that’s useful to u

Wow what a strip down I’d love to do that and check all must of took a while .. but I really struggle with the putting back all the plastic clips snap and always I never get things back properly , totally understand the need for axle stands and appreciate any advice , never worry for explaining things that are second nature to you when safety concerned , it’s surprising how many don’t think and just crack on not aware , I myself stupidly in the past have been guilty of shortcuts , I certainly will go and check all wiring as soon as my suspension issue is sorted , and this Land Rover headache passes lol ….. oh and I believe it’s a se.. 2007/8

ur so welcome and indeed hope it’s helps

alas when I bought mine I found out the airbag light was curtain airbags had been cut out after they went off, the front door had been hit causing the steering wheel , seat and curtains to fire , so was a challenge and a half finding all the issues , must confess was a heating engineer for over 25 x years and done fault finding so this I really enjoyed, yeh I know I need certifying, lol , oh and had to virtually rebuild the entire suspension system , rear upper wishbones , just got some sticky brake calliper's and rear lower wishbones left , then onto yearly servicing , really enjoyed the project to be honest

was the same 6 x years ago not know anything about them , with the great advice here etc just took it step by step and amazing what knowledge u pick up

Those plastic clips do break very easily , since owning the disco I’ve certainly increased my tool kit, lol

look forward to see what u find
