Help needed. My battery was completely dead one morning, would not take a charge, charger displayed fault of open cell. I bought and fitted new battery but now parking sensors not working also CD player not working and radio will only work on DAB not FM. I've tried three diagnostic readers and no fault codes showing. Please help

It's a 2012 X's manual. Td4

I'd do a hard reset before doing anything else.
These vehicles don't like a battery that goes flat. It causes all sorts of strange issues.
Also when putting the battery terminals back on, don't all the final connection (ground terminal) to spark. Slap it straight down fast to avoid sparks, as sparking will cause spikes of electricity which can corrupt data in modules.

Also what diagnostic kit are you trying to use? LRs are a bit fussy, but a generic OBD2 reader won't give you anything other than engine codes.
For diagnosis of other modules, the code reader needs to be a full systems diagnostic device, which is designed to read all modules.

Thanks Nodge 68
I've tried the hard reset. Made no difference. Tried diagnostic readers Hawkeyeye, Autel. And Autophix. None of them show any codes

The light comes on as normal. It appears to be working but no sound and it doesn't cut the radio volume. Also illuminates normally when reverse is selected.

A diagnostic on live data will tell you if the sensors are actually working by giving the distance from objects within range.

I suspect the issue lies with the audio system though.
Unfortunately all the different modules in the vehicle are linked by various data buses, the PDC and audio system are no different.
It definitely needs proper diagnostics to go further.

Thanks again Nodge68. I sort of came to that conclusion yesterday afternoon. After removing the battery again cleaning all earthing and making sure I hadn't done anything stupid, can't believe how woosie cars are these days, all I did was change the battery. Anyway, will try to get it booked in next week. Thanks again for your time and trouble.
