I think those spring look about 2 inches too long, quite apart from the fact they have clearly passed their elastic limits and have collapsed.

i know gonna get the tape measure out again tomorrow and take some more measurements...they should have been and probably were 48" according to the old landy repair operation manual..what they are now i,ll find out tomorrow but do not forget...PADDOCKS SAY THEY LOOK ABOUT RIGHT? like feck do they

just measured it and surprise surprise they are still a very flat 48 inches have you ever seen steel stretch!
especially in a fixed state

Just like to add that ive bought a fair bit from Paddocks, and they've given great service every time.

Twice now ive forgotten to add the odd seal/window bar to my order, and both times theyve got back to me the same day and added the perfect part so my order has been perfect everytime!

They even phoned me up (more than once as they didnt get through) and told me that I hadnt ordered enough window channel to do both door tops (I only ordered 1)

I'd like to see any other online shop (amazon etc) be so helpfull, and allow you to change your order after purchase!

My discs and pads went down the tip long ago. Needed this email address over a year ago because they didn't hang up when I called em they just refused to beleive that the fault with the parts where were due to being faulty and blamed me for abusing them. How come when you phone they dont want to know but when you email this guy its different and they suddenly want to replace things now? I think a major rethink in the customer service department might be in order. You shouldn't need an angry mob to get a part changed, however if it's the only way they listen then keep on going. Just a shame I threw all these bits away as now we have someones ear they may have been interested in inspecting them...

its probably because when i email them i only said ' i had heard nasty stories about their stuff '.

if accy says ok i'll invite the bloke onto here and see what he has to say fer himlself...

course i'd have to adopt a sensible approach to it. but don't expect to last any longer than need be.

slob i can tell you a few stories about nasty stuff,ie 3 starters before getting a goodun, exhaust manifold which when bolted up cracked the inlet manifold,a set of their dodgy discs, all eventually admited to the faults but took a while even had compo for the manifold...eventually

the missus as just had a dig at ya slob on about the weeman and his dummy apparently he was 16mths when them piccies were took

you should see him now when i tell him to fix it he runs to his little tool bench, grabs his hammer and pails **** out of the offending object
