16months int no excuse.; none of my 4 had a plug fer anything else than going to sleep no matter what age them wur.

if they int got a dummy them can't spit it so stands them in good stead when / if they grow up
 
ave seen me in shops having to exercise lots of self control when i see 3 and 4 years old wandering about suckin on a plug. it just int reet.

yer spend time with them in the first year and they get all the comfart they need from the parents and not a dod of plastic.
many hours i spend with a screamming kid one me chest justr getting them to quiet down. its worth in the long run as they don't become reliant on a plug.

Hear hear. So say I,:p it can be too easy to stick a dummy in to keep em quiet. None of mine had one, hard work initially but worth it.
 
have 6 they all have to take it in turns two oldest girls never touched the plug 2 year old son was in intensive care for two weeks at ten months old and it just became a comfort to him as we could,nt touch him very often ,so lay off yhe little ****e
