p38 rize problem

Hi friends i am after some help i have a range rover p38 1997 2.5 d the air suspention will not pump up to ride hight i replaced the pump and checked all air bags i was told that i need toreplace the ecu driver unit is this right ? stephen

No it's not right. First step is diagnostics as many things can stop it rising. If the pump failed the EAS may have logged a hard fault, do you have the slow 35mph message on the dash? If you do, the compressor will not run until the fault codes are cleared.
Pump failure is often due to leaking air bags, how did you check them?
 
yes had them checked no error messages took them off and presure tested each one no leeks it will only pump a bit of air in and not stop flashing on dash
 
yes but does not rize to ride bottom and ride hight keep flashing
So if the pump runs but it does not rise, either there is a leak or the pump is not making pressure.
with the engine running, leave a door open and check the pump is running, remove the little silencer at the windscreen end of the valve block and check for air escaping. If that is OK, wait 7 or 8 minutes then shut the door and see if the car tries to rise.
You cannot really check the airbags for leaks off the car as you cannot pressurise them enough without destroying them.
