Hello everyone. I have just joined the Forum. I have an issue which unfortunately our local dealership are woolly about - so some expert knowledge would be very much appreciated!

We have a problem with the Receiver responding to the Remote Fob. I have substituted a new Receiver (very easy to install) but no joy, and it seems as if the new Receiver Module needs encoding to recognise the Remote. Now, I am not an expert and I HOPE this is the way it is.

IF I do need the system encoded so the two parts can communicate, how is this done?

Many thanks

John

Hi there and welcome
RF receiver just works, are you sure it's functional? The keys might need a resync.. there's a few threads in the range rover section all about it

Welcome:).

we generally like pics in this bit, so we can smile and same thats a cracker:D.

If you want technical help best go to the correct forum section, for you I would say that here Range Rover | LandyZone - Land Rover Forum

But just a quickie batteries in the fob?;).
Should be plug an play for the receiver i think.

If the car is not responding to "healthy" remotes (good batteries and LED's flashing on button presses?) does it let you start the car if you open the door with the key?
What year P38 is it? All best asked in the Range Rover sub-forum really.
