The 3rd one looked the best, at least it was a good video, he had a template, and the backing (all important to sat where its meant to be and not come off again) looked like M3 backing and he has curved for the front and strait for the back

hard to say, but it looks right, I can never understand why they used black and silver? maybe black is after market?

original badges were either silver or dark grey. they can still be had from dealers. none of the aftermarket parts are exactly right but some are as close as dammit so its a matter of taste. the 3d chrome ones are not to my taste.

thanks fella, but i dont need to remove any, ive just had my bonnet and both wings re painted and it looks fantastic, a real top quality job !! but had to loose the ones on there

those black and the above silver say ...

This is 100% the same style, font and size as the new Range Rover lettering and is a great way to update your P38 by replacing the old flat vinyl lettering with these full 3D letters.

i want it looking oem ,not new/bling like

The factory never fitted black bonnet / tailgate badges. On a green P38 you got those horrible flat grey things that looked worn and knackered as soon as it came out of the showroom, sort of understated or anti-bling I suppose.
You're right however that most of the after-market badges are bright chrome and if your car is green and black they're going to stand out day and night. If you want to see what I mean even Halfrauds sell the letters, they're normally on a wee stand on the till counter. I'd suggest that you go black, it'll look smart and only a Rangie nerd is going to know the difference.
