p38 problem heeeelp

ok so starts in morning stop at shop get it turn key all lights on nothing

jiggle key turns over but wont start

so get out lock doors,unlock doors and ayup it starts

then stops:flame2: now her who must be obeyed is in my ear about getting rid

please help before i end up with a corsa

firstly lock the door with the key and within a few seconds press the lock button on the remote. also check battery leads are tight and fully home on the posts on the battery!!! this may well cure the problem if not at least it will eliminate loose terminals and fob/door re-sync probs!!!

tried the key wont lock or unlock but works fine off keyfob,does this mean i have a problem

you may need new batterys for the remote. i would buy ova haul kit it about £10 you get new battery and seal and new cover for battery. in the mean time only use the key or you may get locked out if you accdentaly double lock it.i may be right or wrong but that what i would do.

because it doesnt lock on the key i would suspect the microswitch wire has come off on the door mechanism, take the door card off and try to lock with key, if it locks its probably the door sill catch and connecting rod that is catching. if not try to dissasemble the door lock mechanism and free off the parts, re grease and replace.
