????p38 overhearing but not part 2 ???

went out in the rr today went to flash the headlights and the message center came up with gearbox fault slowed down and it clonked underneath car stopped turned car off gearbox fault displayed started car again no fault no problem since then i have cleaned all terminals and connectors on becm and wiring in footwell now going to try see if its stopped the over heating issue but just wondering if the alternator wasnt putting out enough power would that cause things to play up ?

any low power will cause dodgy issues, mebbe give the connecters a push see if it help. youve obviously found at least part of the problem so its more than likely gonna be the same area. get battery and alt checked tho as poor battery/alt could cause more issues or at least mask the cause of the issue in the first place!!
