Hello all,

I have a 2002 P38 Vogue SE, which I have owned for 3 years.... I don't want to change it as we have a reasonable relationship... but to stop me getting bored I'm looking for subtle mods, I am really struggling to find anything on the net so am open to suggestions....

Done the obvious - wheels and exhuasts !

L322 / sport headlight conversions are a not my taste whatsoever :eek:

So really I am looking for advice/pointers/previous experiences on;

bumpers / body kits,
ICE (can you upgrade the head unit?),
recommended engine mods,
suspension / handling

Hope you can help

Hello and welcome.

Bumpers & Body kits - mention those on here and you're leaving yourself wide open to a world of abuse but each to their own and all that.
ICE - can be done and has been done but not a straight swap with the Harmon Kardon equipment.
Engine mods - it'd be really helpful if you said which engine you had
Suspension / handling - You can go the coil spring route (and get a load of abuse again) or change the air springs to Arnott gen 3 along with Konis. Again, each to their own.
You could try searching for what you're after as the above subjects have come up many times before.

Thanks, did some searches yesterday before posting - so I know exactly what you mean about leaving myself wide open, people really throw punches on here!

Yes I have contacted my local ICE dealers about upgrading the headset and they have said the same; I am happy with the speakers, just would like a better headset, so I was hoping that someone might have come up with a good easy swap.

Bodystyling was looking for subtle changes, I have looked at the overfinch front bumper but can't work out the difference except for the oval lights!, I would like to change the bumpers to the more modern deeper square style, but nothing outlandish!

I have a 4.6 (did they make a 2002 diesel?) with janspeed exausts, performace air filter, lpg conversion;

Mods I am considering and am looking for feedback, performance heads?, leads? cams?, are these jobs worthwhile ? do they produce results for the £££,

Asking a lot for a newbie I know!

I have a 2001 4.6 that is converted to LPG. Works for me at 60p per litre.....Once again though on this forum, some for and many against.........Good luck....

Thanks - I sent it straight in for LPG conversion the day I bought it - very pleased it works out cheaper to run than the 2.5 diesel I had before!

its a P38..... so if aint broke leave it alone,,, think your asking for trouble... unless your thinking of a complete engine swap. maybe a overfinch chevy v8 !!!!
