P38 Mobile Phone holder ?

Im after some sort of cradle for my new iphone 5 , for the p38

wondering if anyones got any handy tips of what to use/a particular one to get or avoid

ie- has anyone found anything that can somehow clip to to the coin type tray thing in the middle of the console above the stereo/below the EAS button ? or some sort of vent one , as opposed to a screen suction

but its finding something fairley decent, ive tried ones in the past in cars that dont last 5 minutes/are really rubbish

I've taken apart a universal windscreen mountable holder and glued on a decent bulldog clip. That way I can attach it to the coin holder. Don't think there is a phone holder you can buy to do the same job.

have a look in Halfrauds, they did some really cool things. a bit more expensive than normal, but they looked good

Not affiliated but Brodit are leaders in this sort of thing and very high quality all tailored for specific vehicles. Had them on my last few vehicles now and when you change your phone you just change the adaptor. Or likewise if you change your car.

they look decent !1 but cant see how to buy or prices ? all i could find was a company called nemesis but no proper website or anything and was some sort of bespoke interior company not a sales, confusing

Or if you don't want to spend a fortune - you see that strip along the bottom of the coin bin? Well it pops out. I bought and butchered a windscreen mounted holder and screwed/glued it onto there. I've already bought a spare strip so if I want to remove the phone holder I just replace the strip.

i found the link for a place that sold them, they were about £35 for the phone holder, and then you had to order the correct dash holder to suit. expensive, but looks good.

prob talking £45/50 then only flip side is they also do an ipad one, fopr super sized sat nav

No I haven't removed it. I just took it out, glued the ebay holder to it and shoved it back in. I actually use the holder for my ipod so a little careful hacking and the cable from the ipod to the radio and charger (cigarette lighter wiring) vanishes up behind the panel.
If I ever get a new radio, and I'm fancying one of those Sonys with the ipod inside in a tray, then I won't need the holder so I have a new front for the coin tray in the garage - somewhere!!
