Hey all,

I have a 1995 P38 4.0 SE that has a massive issue!

I bought it like this!

Its very very difficult to start and when it does it misfires and chucks loads of black smoke out. When its cranking it stinks of petrol.

Originally it wouldnt start at all, it would splutter and try. I changed the plugs as they were all fuel fouled and it did start (with a lot of cranking)

It has a Stag LPG conversion that displays the petrol injector times as 7ms on idle. so we know its throwing the fuel in! The lambdas are desperatly trying to lean the mixture. I have changed the ECU temp sensor with no joy.

I have no LPG in the tank so i cant run the lpg side of things.
I had a mate plug a Snap on OBD system onto it and they were no fault codes. The long term fuel trim was -75% (i think it was minus) and coolant and air temp -40c.

ECU fubar?

Thanks in advance everyone!! :)
