i have an early psi power box fitted to my 1996 dse but thhe more i read about them just chucking more fuel in and poss cracking the head i have been looking into having it chipped.
there is a company in scotland called ves sport that have just started listing them on ebay at only £120 just wondered if anyone has used this company or one of there chips?

Whatever you do, basically it just chucks more fuel in. The old Bosch ECU in the P38 doesn't lend itself to live re-maps, so it's either a powerbox or a piggyback chip which seems to amount to the same thing. On my Transit, the map can be tweaked on the road and it's possible to have 2 maps, the original and a performance one which can be switched.

the chip they are selling is a replacement solder in job for the ecu, i know they will all chuck more fuel in just hoped that a replacement chip would be properly remapped throughout the range?

Without major and very expensive engine mods the only way to gain power on a diesel is to throw more fuel at it. That's life unfortunatly.
:eek::eek:
