Hi,
A 05/1998 2.5DSE (manual, non EGR) engine can be swaped for an earlier one?
My range has the metallic air intake manifold and i wonder if i can fit an engine with the plastic manifold (disabling the EGR, as mine is pre-EGR)
Will i have to change the ECU also?
And what about the BECM?
All of this cause the engine overheats at highways, in city traffic, even at traffic jams it works just fine.
Now, i dont know if theres a crack at the head cylinder, a crack at the engine block or both....at the expension tank, after keeping at 2000revs for some time, tiny bubbles come up..
Will a compresion test to the block points any defect?
Its an engine where i spent lots of money...i am fed up with it
