SOLD SOLD SOLD Well the time has come and she must go. (RR). I can no longer climb in her without a struggle even on access setting due to my deteriorating arthritis. Back to the Wife's Golf SV for getting around which is no where near as much fun.
Owned her since March 2015. Mileage approx. 195k.
In last six months she has had new viscous fan hub. New thermostat. (failed open so running too cool). New brake pads. Engine oil (synthetic) and filter. Fuel filter. EAS compressor new seals and n/r valves. XYZ switch on gearbox. New exhaust from cat back. Tyres still good.
Epsom green paint finish that still shines. Rear arches need work as does tailgate as is normal. Chassis sound. Last MOT April 19th. 2017. Passed with advisories: Front n/s shocker has light misting of oil. Offside and Nearside inner sills have hole but not within 30cm of any mounting. Oil leak. Oil leak was filter cap. Sorted at oil change. Interior leather is good but usual wear on driver's seat. Electric seats. Passenger one does not move forward or back never bothered us. Electric sunroof no probs. Heated seats don't work. Harman Kardon sound system with after market head unit fitted by previous owner. PSI Power box fitted to engine. She goes well. Thought I would advertise here first as you guys understand the ways of P38's.
