P38 Diesel non return valve

Have 8mm metal non return valve to install in line on diesel supply pipe - can you just cut in to the clear pipe ?

If you must fit an NRV, fit it before the filter not after it.

The pipe going into the filter looks a tad too small to accommodate an 8 mm valve - or maybe it will?

It won't it is 8 mm O/D, you need to cut the NRV length out of it and use two short lengths of 8 mm I/D rubber fuel pipe and four fuel pipe clips to make the coupling.

You shouldn't have to worry about the fuel running back unless you've a leak somewhere buddy!

Isn't there a nrv in the intank fuel pump?

In the factory lift pumps there was, but there was no NRV in the VDO unit i fitted a couple of years ago.

Local garage says the fuel injectors are leaking causing air to enter the system overnight. £600 plus VAT to sort out vs £8 for a NRV.
