P38 Diesel lift pumps

Morning all, I need a new in-tank pump. Where have you bought yours from?? There are a few on ebay, ranging from £78ish to £130ish, what, if any are the differences? Also, is there a difference between the diesel and petrol versions?

With regards to starter motors, apparently there are 3 different ones, again, are they interchangable?

ESR1111 is the diesel pump, and no they are not interchangeable with petrol versions.

I paid £80-ish for mine from Island 4x4, it is a Britpart pattern part, but its doing the job fine.

Did you do the job on your own? if so how difficult was it?

Ive just fitted a pump in my p38 you can do it on your own if the tanks totally empty but its easier with 2 people just for the size of the tank.

can you drain the tank from underneath?, problem I have is if the tank drops below half it doesn't want to start up, other wise i have to drive around for 200 miles...syphon, but how?

what tools do you need and is there a diy anywhere?

Got got my starter repaired when mine played up cost me £45 cheapest option.
