P38 climate control display

have a 1996 hse and the display on the climate control unit has vanished.
i dont have a hand book as yet so am not that familiar with its operation.
i assume there should be a display all the time and that something is knackered. Any ideas?

I'm guessing you have a blown bulb.

See my post further down the page, the Part No you need is STC3869.

You need to remove the Hevac Unit to get to the bulb.

thanks for the info.

just had a quick look before starting to strip out side panels, only to discover what appears to be coolant around the right hand foot vent.
refering back to the link you posted, suggests heater o ring probs in adittion to the display.
Oh what fun.

The stuff leaking seems more like coolant than water from a blocked a/c drain, however I will double check.

Unfortunately it sounds like you have the dreaded leaking o-rings.
