got p38 4.6 box drives in drive no revers or select 1st nothing . in low range just get a nibble revers . climbs up ramps in low tho . is it worth getting box sorted or just get a breakers one ???. then u may get another problem . was e gona split trans box from gear box to get them out of car ?? let me know if a bade idea would be doing up on strong ramps . all help would be a god send . many thanks

Engaging drive and reverse is a mechanical engagement...the rest of the shifts are controlled electronically....I remember someone saying something about sprag clutches failing causes lack of drive.

check oil if its black its a clutch pack or 2 ,can be stripped and replaced or if you get another box ensure it hasnt got black oil
