P38 alarm light / rf box

Hello, a quick question. I have just replced my RF box due to my battery going flat. I've replaced it with the latest box (YWY500170) from the main dealers (ouch!!) and i think all is well. The question i have is - how frequently should the red alarm light in the middle of the dash flash once the vehicle has been locked on the remote? I didn't make a point to check it before i changed the RF box and just want to check if everything is working correctly. Many thanks for your help in advance.

Just looked at mine and its about one flash a second

Thank you very much for your reply. Mine is also approx once per second so it would appear all is well. Hopefully a new RF box has done the trick.
