Past couple of mornings been hesitant at firing up, about on 4/5 turn. Once warm fine rest of day. Had a look yesterday. Power to glow plugs, these are NGK and changed 3 years ago . Done 13000
. Found a leaking spill pipe so replaced all. Used RR all day yesterday stop started fine, first crank.
This morning no start, just cranks and tries a few times to fire. Found these relays fed by 60amp fuse anyone got a clue what they are?
All fuses OK and no smell of burning from fuse box.
Just waiting for assistance as cant hear in tank pump running but by myself. 3/4 fuel in tank so would faulty pump cause problem?
Any help appreciated as am only working very slowly cause of me health problems

I'd take the plugs out and test them, I wet the ends with a bit of spit, and touch the nut end with one jump lead while clamping the body of the plug in the other jump lead. You should see it heat up.Dont connect it for too long, just a flash:eek::D:D the plugs are designed for 11V I believe. As for the relays they are not standard, trace the wires back.Do you have any extra lights fitted?

Now you mention extra lights a previous owner had put lights under the car to make it look flash. The lights had been disconnected and taken off by the guy I bought it off. So you could be on to something there. The feed for the relays come direct from the battery

It's the terminal that's opposite in orientation to the other three that should be the feed to the lights/accessory if my memory is correct, fed from the live from the battery that you found when the relay is activated.;)

When the rain stops will try and trace the wiring and see if they were for the lights. If so can I leave be or remove

I've got 2 yellow relays in the same area ish and they are for the caravan electrics.
I can hear my pump from the front when I jumped it but that's in a quiet garage.
I suspect mine doesn't work conventionally though as my fuel filter was completely empty when I removed it. Got to investigate further once I'm ready to start her up again but hopefully it's a duff relay. The relays next to the fuel pump relay look the same for testing purposes but that was just a casual glance at them.

Nice one will try a swap over. Can't here pump with back seats lifted and head against carpet, normally can
