P-39 '99 Permanent disabling of immobliser!

Hi gentlemen,

I have read so many posts about the EKA's, immobiliser's, flat keys, broken keyfobs but still can't a definitive answer as to if I can simply disable the immobiliser system....although it could be me!

simply....is it possible to disable the immobiliser system so the engine is always a simple 'key' start without fiddling with the unlock button, so when the wife gets stuck again with a flat battery in the keyfob I don't have to try and explain the EKA method

....emergency EKA only lasts for 'one start' as far as I know, then you have to do the procedure again if the key is 'down'?

Voguesy, Gulf spec did the job, no alarm and no immob. Incidentally there is Middle East spec and there is Gulf spec. so anyone who does this in the future make sure you choose the right one."

Was the P39 a later development of the P38?

Pretty sure the BECM can be modded as you wish. Ask Irishrover? Would prob affect insurance (if nicked & they found out!). With a good battery you shouldn`t be getting repeated problems tho. Sort out the under lying problem rather than try to dodge around it, as you`ll only save more problems up for the future.

Strange "Voguesy, Gulf spec did the job" where is this located in the Becm? Autologic must drink red bull cos it reaches parts the other diagnostic systems calnt reach...

It is not on my list on the faultmate using SM035 or SM022 software to intergate the Becm via direct connection to the Cpu or through the Obd2 port. is it possiable for you to give us a print out of this list of countrys inside the Becm please?
