did you work out if you could turn the srs light off, when you have no air bag in your seat??

Working on it, it's too cold at the moment. In principle yes it's possible, I have to do the calculation for the resistance of the airbag firing element, I have tested it with a variable resistance but the value was very low and difficult to measure accurately. I think something like a 6 volt torch bulb will do the job of replacing the airbag. There also the pins marked as "shorting bars" on the SRS ECU that may do the job. I have hard "airbag fired" fault which cannot be re-set with Faultmate etc, so to be sure how it all works I have to either open up the SRS ECU and find out how to re-set it or replace it. Got to be done before the MOT in April.

I will post the results when it's all sorted.

wont pop the ones in the seats cos i took them out yesterday, fitted learther seats with no airbags. only cos claw cant fit his big fat arse on the seats..

Is it on MOT over there? Does not matter here.
