Opening the vehicle causes 2 beeps from car

Greetings all, new to the site. I'm hoping you can help

I have a 2013 Freelander 2. All of a sudden today when opening the car by pressing the open button once on the fob we are getting 2 beeps from the car. I cannot find anything in the handbook that advises what this means. We have changed the battery in the past when the range was reduced, but we have never had the 2 beeps before. Can anyone help?
