Just putting the bits back on the inner wings after some welding and I seem to have a 3-way multiplug left over...

It's normally just behind the washer bottle and is linked into the loom at the point where the multiplus for the washer pumps (front, rear and headlamp) join. The plug appears to only have two of the connectors with wires and they are both purple/white.

The vehicle is a 1996 300Tdi.

Can some kind person give me clue where this should be connected to. And yes I have looked for a stray male mutli-plug that might fit and boogered if I can find it!!!

My engine bay must have a dozen or more redundant plugs due to them all being built with the same wiring loom.
Probably doesn't help the fact it started its life as a poverty spec model!

hey, when i took my washer bottle off i had to disconect the plug from from the fuel cut off switch....... although if she starts its not that!!!

Well I haven't got to the bottom of this - checked wiring diagrams and had a thorough look round but nothing seems to match the wire colours... so booger it i thought andf chucked it all back together leaving the multiplug un attached...

It starts and the washers work, so let's hope I don't find out what the plug should do when travelling down the motorway

Thanks for the ideas folks, gave me something to look out for...
