My new radius arm bushes should arrive today so am gonna have a go myself, should be fun! would anyone have the tool and/or press nearby that would like to lend/hire to me? I know they can be a bugger but I am learning all the time. Did my first track rod, shocks and discs last week, he who dares etc. Cheers.

I am afraid the radius arm bushes are a little bit more difficult than a TRE or a disc. Without the constriction tool and a good press you can estimate your chances as doubtful to no chance at all. How far north of Mancland are you?

When I did my first P38's Radius bushes we have a 45 ton hydraulic power press at work and that refused to shift them (they were really really bad) so I used our 200 tonne Aircraft Jack Tester to press them out, took over 60 tonnes to get them to move!.....

But mine were super-bad and well rusted in.....

If they are plastic shells getting them out with the press is pretty simple. If they are metal shells and rusted that is another problem. Just drill out the rubber over an area then collapse the shell with a sharp punch. It will then fall out. However if your new ones are plastic shells (which they will be) getting them in without a constriction tool is next to impossible. The plastic shells are 1.5 mm larger than the holes they are going into.
