Hi guys,

In what is the first ( I think) help thread in the section of the year may I just say yoink! and a happy new year!!

Around september ish last year I had a water leak around the top of the front A-posts resulting in a soddon front rooflining and it dripping into the footwell. Took the black aluminium finishers on the roof off and found micro cracks right at the front on the curve.
Slapped a load of silicon sealant on both passenger and driver side which sorted the problem for a few months. The drivers side has started to get damp again and when I moved her earlier a load of water came pouring out of the interior light. Took it off and it was full.

The headlining was replaced a while ago after I thought I'd solved it so want to avoid wrecking this one.
Any ideas?

As far as I know the sunroof drains are clear but will test tomorrow just to rule them out.

Many thanks

Someone on here reckoned Tiger Seal was the business. Never tried it.

One of the Wills, Littlewill?, had an issue where the roof welds had cracked.

Windscreen trim is another favourite spot for water to get in. Got a feeling @MrGorsky had some issues there or maybe it was a Jake.

Mine's leaking somewhere but I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit!

Thanks Grrrrr, I'm going to have to take the headlining out before it gets ruined, was replaced not long ago.

When i had a look the last time it was coming from the seam, can't find the photos now, so though attacking it from the top may do the trick. Starting to run out of ideas now!

Ive got the same problem. Water was coming in at the top of the screen where the black plastic roof rail tucks into the seal / trim. I just lifted the roof rail up and used duct tape, about 100mm of duct tape under the roof rail with about 30mm going over the top of the seal / trim and windscreen. Its keeping the water out for now.

Solved my leak using tiger seal a few months back. Broke the windscreen yesterday so it's all got to come out again.

I used tiger seal to bond some rubber wheel arch protecters for my P38, also my son broke off a wing mirror on my focus whilst riding his bike, used tiger seal to re attach the mirror and it was stronger than before.
