Sorry about the spelling on Last post.. As Stated I have found a small Leak at the bottom of my Fuel Filter..Would this be the cause of the poor Acceleration that I have..

the answer is simple... standard Td5's are all sluggish at low revs... , get some live data to make sure all the sensors are within limits first, put new air and fuel filters, get rid of the EGR if still there, if it's EU3 fit a de-cat downpipe, get it remapped...then you'll regain your smile

clean MAF, MAP(inlet manifold) and AAP(top of airbox) sensors untill then. the leaking filter doesnt affect acceleration.

If you have weeping fuel you also have a route for air to enter the fuel system.

i respect your knowledge and i dont want to argue but afaik the fuel system is under permanent pressure so if a leak occures imo the fuel will leave the system and not air will get in.... any counter-argument will be well received;)

I know that they are sluggish at low revs...but mine actually won't rev until you lift off the the pedal and then back on it , then its fine...could it be the pedal potentiometer at fault

Actually, I liked the previous spelling; poor acceleration certainly does = poor exhilaration!
