ok was wonderin has any one tried to fit a 530 D engine into a p38

just found these guys who will supply the engine BMW 530D 530 D 3.0 TD 1998-2007 ENGINE SUPPLY&FIT on eBay (end time 27-Jan-10 16:59:20 GMT)
but has anyone ever done it

I remember reading a thread over on the other forum about a guy doing just this. It went on for several pages and the end result was the thread just finished with lots of people asking for updates and no finished pictures or info. The biggest problem was getting communications for the relevant ECUs.

Now Ive said all that, just found another thread....

All he needs now is an uprated gearbox, transfer box and 2 diffs, 400lbs of torque should destroy the existing set up pretty dam quick if the power is used.
