Made a big mistake today drained the oil changed air + fuel filter all good struggled to remove oil filter it came off with a little bit of muscle then opened my oil filter box some weird cartridge filter **** not the screw type and I needed to go immediately I was in a hurry after having a urgent phone call with cattle in the road our only transport as my others were being used so I drained my oil filter out of that black gunge and filled it with clean oil put it back in and went
So if I were to pull my filter off to put new one in would all the oil come out or just what's in the filter?

Mine uses a "paper" type filter which fits in the outer plastic casing which has a large "nut" on the base for removing the filter assembly. Sounds like this is the filter you bought? I note that Eurocarparts also list a conventional screw-on canister type, so there must be two different fitments for the Puma. Can't answer you question though, but if you can gauge the level of the oil in the sump by measuring the length of the dipstick and then measuring down from the top of the dipstick tube, and the level is below the top of the filter, no oil should drain out of the sump.
