Have just bought oil filter for my series 111 petrol 2.5. RTC 3184. BUT holes are far too large to fit the rod holding it & the actual housing all together, on looking at the oil filter housing its marked APC 26222 BCD1 & is totally different from the series three oil filter assembly (537229). I have googled APC 26222 BCD1 & cant find anything. Any one know where I can find the washers, seals, spring etc that hold the filter cartridge in place? Or which landrover the oil filter housing APC 26222 BCD1 is meant to fit so that I can find its part number? Or which filter will fit this housing?

Thanks in anticipation DW.

Those numbers are casing and manufacturing process numbers, not rover part numbers.

That looks like a series filter. The RTC 3184 is right.

Buy a genuine Landrover oil filter assembly, it comes with the o rings and seals, as well as the paper element.

You say it's a 2.5, is it 17H engine?

My 2.5 17H 110 engine dressed as a series engine.

series housing seems to have only one input (electrical) see att part diag, mine has electric input in middle not at the end, also has extra bits/bumps coming out of the top. What is a 17H engine?

Thanks for that, mine is the 2.25 petrol, I seem to be missing some of the inner bits I have the spring a small wire "C" clip which fits the threads, but havent got the washers/seals that would take up the large spaces made by the holes in top/bottom of the cartridge. If I had parts dia showing those bits I could make them on the lathe. Any idea where I could get a drawing the landy one only shows the cartridge & one large O ring/seal that goes into top of the housing.
