oh no she's making a horrible noise

help guys and gals, :( Pig has developed a bloody horrible knocking noise which appears to be coming from the gearbox:confused:
here's the symptoms : engine running as normal, no odd noises there, put it into gear no problems and then pull away and the knocking starts, the harder i accelerate the louder it gets, and gets louder up through the gears, in 4th i sound like i got a kango under the bonnet:( if i'm coasting without foot on gas the knocking goes.
popped it into my local garage and he had a quick look under to make sure nothing was hanging off or rattling about and there isn't, listened to engine and nothing unusual there:confused:
any ideas anyone?
i'm :( cos i don't want Pig to be seriously ill:eek:
 
I'm no eggspurt , but might be worth a look at your prop ujs , and don't forget ter take yer handbrake off when you check yer back one ( use wheel chocks divent hurt yersel eh )
 
me man at the garage checked all that cos that were his first thought, all Uj's, bolts and clamps all present and correct.
got a mate from the farm having a listen tomorrow for me, bless him he's got a broken pelvis and chipped vertebrae but he's going to risk a ride in me series to see what he thinks:) I'll just have to do his body brace up extra tight for him;)
 
i didnt even have that much, i was well n truly skint, so the money came from the weddin fund.....oops, managed to get a recon box includin delivery to here....(n accordin to most delivery firms n englandshire there isnt roads north of glasgow) for just under 600 quid, was about the same to get it fitted, but had the mechanic doin loads o other stuff to.
 
well filled it with oil cos it was a bit low:eek: but its still clattering so i'm gonna have to bite the bullet and take it to wiltshire landys to let them have a look, my local non-landy garage wants to take gearbox out and send it away but i'm hoping neil will be able to use his special landy force and know what it is and what to do about it. then depending on verdict i either rob a bank to pay for it or scrap the bitch:(

i hope it is Ods i really do, can't afford a new gearbox:( and i'm fooked without me landy, gonna have to cycle to the farm to do the horses........ can i borrow your deepender until mines fixed:eek::D

Mine's a bit under-used at the mo, yer welcome to borrow it for a bit if yer wants! Hope it turns out to be summat simple.
 
Leave yer horse outside yer house, leave the landy in the field and in a bizarre ironic twist of fortune, use the horse to go and visit the landy!
