Hello. I just introduced meself in the other forum, but Ive already got questions...

Im planning on getting some new rims and tyres, 265 75 16 matalasta kobras on 16x8 steel modulars. I was looking at getting the -35 offset modulars partly cos I think offsets look good, but I was also thinking about lifting the landy, only by an inch or so, later this year. Has anyone got any pictures of their landy with the above specs?

Cheers alot

im sure if you google what you need and click on images then you will find millions of pictures of lifted landys. ;)

Aye, done that, its not really lifted landys I'm looking for, its stock suspension landys with the off set rims and either 265 out 285 tires, sorry, just read my previous post and did a crap job of explaining that!
Ta

there is a picture in my album on my profile of my 90 with some 10" wide mach fives fitted with 285/75/16 mud tyres.

There fooking wide mate, i had to get plus 3" arches to cover them and even then i didnt like them so i sold them.

Here's my 110 on 33x12.5x15 tyres, 15x10 wheels with a -32 offset. No lift, just HD springs on the front to make up for the weight of the bumper/winch:

Regarding offset, I take it, for example, a -25 offset would see the wheels sticking out 25mm more than a standard offset?

not sure its quite that simple mate. Think standard defender/disco1/RRC are -16

There is a guide i found ont t'internet a while ago. will have a peek.

DreXel that looks good.

Do you guys recon with HD springs on the the front and 16x8 rims with the -35 offset I would be able to fit 285 75 16 (without a lift, just HD springs)?

Im just trying to work out what a stock landy (no lift) would look like, primerily with 265 75 16 and the -35 offset rims, Im worried it might look a bit stupid with such an offset but not necessarily big tyres (which is why im thinking about 285 75 16, just not keen on lifting, but was gonna put HD springs on the front anyway).

Im also not keen on going with 10" rims. Yeah...I guess Im being fussy.

Cheers for all the input so far :)

Aye Mr ferkin Bob, to be honest Im just doing it for the look, poncing about Im afraid, I just like the look of big tyres and that, but I just dont wanna go mental big, like 10" rims and mahoosive tyres, as its still my run around, just figuring out my options. Nothing bigger then 285 really. Cheers

chunky enough, just a slight adjustment to stop lock,

265 75 16 and really good off road,

recip trails.

Landyman, your mates landy with the 265s and the 35mm spacers, I guessing that would push his wheels out as far as the -35 offsets right? Has he had to adjust anything? Cheers for looking that out.

Was guessing the recip trails would be a bit sh*t on the road, will probably stick to me matalasta kobras, always liked them.

Im probably gonna get the 265 75 16's, Iv been looking at 285s and would need extended wheel arches, and they cost a fookin' fortune! Fork that!

Cheers

the tread pattern the kobras has is not wide enough for me and they get stuck full of mud,the recips have wide spaces so i dont get stuck,as i said i have a set of AT for the summer, the recips are a work tyre so i guess if yer poncin about i would get the cooper stt tyres..job done then.
