Gents for all who have helped thank you - after 10 weeks and lots of different things replaced and checked the problem has been located as a split polybush on the nearside radius arm . It was almost impossible to see and it used to move every now and then and the axle was rotating about 3 degrees hence the shuddering .New bushes installed and she is like a dream .
So one to watch out for ( the bush with the split was only 6 months old so I never thought it could be that 0 Hope this helps someone else
Cheers

Same here afraid I came across various posts talking of problems with Diesels with bigger wheels and in one case different tyres but no one seemed to know what caused it - have you tried speaking to Landrover direct at the factory ? The dealers dont have a clue so I can gather - sorry for not being able to help
