ODBII Vin Numbers

Does anyone perchance know what chassis numbers the freelander became ODBII compliant please?

I know the years are 2000 for petrol and 2004 for TD4 but mine is an early 2004 TD4 and sods law will dictate that if I spend £120 on some scanning equipment my TD4 will not be ODBII compliant cos I don't trust Land Rover not to have been selling 2003 build models in 2004

2004 my will be compliant, remember that cars will have been compliance ready in advance of the date it became mandatory. legislation was for emissions purposes so you shouldn't expect access to all other controllers unless you buy industry level gear.

Some cars have been OBD 2 since 1996. Was only standardized in 2001 and 2004.

Try a cheap £20 reader first if you want to make sure
