Just had a fiddle on multimap and it threw up this for the postcode anyway
Lat:
51:48:58N (51.8162)
Lon:
4:22:17W (-4.3715)
looks like my co-ords are within a nats cock but still dunno about the
standard for lat and lon and why the brackets??

the brackets are 'cos they're decimal degrees, rather than DMS, which the
first bit it. a bit like if I said something was 4m (13ft) long.

aye, that's a point, reversed co-ords. I assumed he meant 51 N and 4 W, but
read as 4 N 51 E, it produces interesting results.

So, only two weeks to go, and we have something like 16 vehicles, with
untold numbers of people in them - probably something like 35 of us at
least, if we count the kids. Lizzy has got 10 of the little tiny blue
LED flashing "light sabres" for the rugrats, so you can see 'em in the dark.

Directions are all posted on my website at

I'm going to try and get to the site in the mid-afternoon, to meet the
arrivals and set up our tent in daylight for a change.

There are the balance of the site fees to pay, for those who have
already paid the deposit. I'll have to check-hein people and sort out
the fees from my list.

I do feel the urge for some sort of commemorative thingy for everyone,
even if its a car sticker. Any other suggestions for a humourous little
tag ?

I remember lots of folks volunteering bits and piece, Martyn promised
the cinema stuff, Nige promised beer I think (hope ?) Austin (our native
guide) a barbeque. Can we co-ordinate any pledges of help here in the
thread in the next few days, to eliminate duplication (except beer of
course)

If anyone can think of anything I ought to do, please let me know !

2 people, will bring beer, small gas barbie (auxiliary to Austin's moster if
required), beer and - er - oh, and some beer.

Commemorative sticker is a great idea. Will have a think about a slogan.
Being in Max Boyce country (well, almost), "I know, cos I was there" springs
to mind, but perhaps it's a bit general.

more'n one barbie might be handy if we have veggies who don't like their
food cooked on a dead-animal barbie - not being narky here or anything, I
can quite understand even though I'm not meself.

Mine takes a shed-load of charcoal, so extra charcoal would be handy, though
I'll bring some if the shop still has any.

show?

Carmarthen has both morrisons (ex-safeway) and tesco.


Anyone got one of those portable pot-bellied stove things? Might be a bit
nippy in the evening...
