I assume LR made the Disco OBD compliant. Has anyone had a play with this kit?

I am a sad git and like to log data as I drive. The current idea is to hook this up to my Android phone and record data. Though if I can find kit to do it I plan to install a computer to run GPS tracking/logging, it might even act as a satnav.

Hmm, I was lead to believe, It is required by EPA that All 1996 and newer vehicles (cars and light trucks) sold in the United States must be OBD II compliant and this includes all Domestic, Asian and European vehicles.

It's a bit more complicated than that m8. They are refering to petrol engines and especially to engine management...that's why V8 engines are compliant. For diesel in EU, OBD II is mandatory from 2004. Anyway these compliance rules are just for the engine management(emission controll) in all situations... and it means they have to be fitted with an OBD plug... and they are. The problem with L R is not as much the engine as the other systems like ACE, SLs, ABS, BCU ... which are readable/programmable only with dedicated tools.
