Nudge Bars for Freelander Facelift 05

Hi

Looking for Stainless Nudge bars for a facelift td4 05....

As want to pop sum spots on...

Seen the facelift rubber nudge bar...looks orrid and usless for what i need....

anyone any ideas for what i need....loads on the bay for the old hippo and fl2.....not seen nowt for mine tho...

as usual....cheers for any assistance

I know what you mean about the rubber ones mate,

Just go carefull with the metal one.

I know that after a certain manufacture year you cannot fit bull bars to cars built after this date.

I just made it with my 00reg XDI i think it come into act in 2002

or something like that

cheers....after furthher reading....look like a sinking sand of red tape...

will have to think of another way for fog lights....

i know there is a couple of landy kits.....but i would prefer recesed ones rather than the petruding kits.....

I know they do spot light kits for the feebies, i think they mount onto the front grille or something like that, they should do the trick.

but you cant beat a bull bar, love myne just for the added frontal protection as i know that the older freebies do not do very well in a crash !

It's sadly illegal to fit steel bull bars to a vehicle that doesn't conform to EU laws since May 2007 (Directive 2005/66/EC). This is motor vehicles categorised as M1 (a passenger carrying vehicle not exceeding 3.5 tonnes and not more than 8 passengers) or N1 (a goods vehicle not exceeding 3.5 tonnes).

NB: Operators of vehicles already fitted with these devices before this date as original equipment will not be affected.
NB: It would be unwise for anyone to pretend their freelander came with steel (hard) bull bars out of the factory, as they didn't.
NB: Max fine £20,000/12 months in prison.

There are two plastic/ rubber energy absorbing 'soft' ones I know of for facelift hippo from LR

Part no: VUB 503760 Landrover, well known and seen on this very forum. Available in 3 finishes, looks plastic. (Perfect fit). Can be fitted without removing bumper/lights.

Part no: VUB 501330 Bearmach, who advertise it as LR, but not in LR catalogue. Never seen it myself. (Looks rubber and generic. E.g. non hippo specific).

Part no: VUB 501340, VUB 501350, VUB 501360 wrap-around bull bars all now illegal. Annoying, as they look great for going off road. But there you go.

i know yhis an old thread but do you know if this (VUB501340) LAND ROVER FREELANDER 1 NUDGE BAR BULL BAR VUB501340 | eBay

will fit a 98-2000 freelander or is this for later, are the mount the same anyway?

however, that nudge bar you listed should fit fine.

infact it should fit all pre-facelift freelander 1's fine. looks like the same i fitted to my old 2000reg freelader.
