Nothing working on drivers door p38

Anybody offer any help here as its doing my head in now :confused:

My p38 on a 95 plate has nothing working on drivers door. No windows no mirror and no central locking.
I have taken the door card off and followed all wires back through the door and tested them and there seems to be no breaks anywhere.
I have swapped the outstations from drivers door to passenger door and the outstation works on the passengers door.
The keyfob doesnt work the central locking and when the key is used to lock the car only the drivers door locks.
The message centre is displaying drivers window not set but cant set it as it wont work and the message centre also displays engine disabled.

Still sounds like a wiring issue.How did you test the wiring and did you check for earth shorts and corrosion on connectors and inside wire insulation?
 
When i took the door card off i checked the wires from the door lock back to the outstation for continuity then the window motor back. Then from the outstation back through the door to the connector in the pillar. Then from the pillar back to the becm.

Yep ive tried doing it a few times putting it in the lock and turning it whilst pressing the lock button. But would it still re sync the key if there is nothing working on the door ?
 
hi cubdeb , put door card back on reconnecting everything back to normal then check batteries are ok on fob , make sure all doors boot and bonnett are closed properly . then lock door with key . take key out then reinsert pressing fob lock turn to left and count to 5 return to centre position then pressing fob open turn to right and count to 5 then back to centre position open door and insert key into ignition turn to 2 setting at same time make sure you can see fob flashing when it stops turn to start , the engine should be running now if u do this right then by following the instructions you have re syncd fob from door to ignition to becm and all data on dash has dissapeared , good luck i will be back in 20 mins and will check your position cheers mozz
 
the above instructions was relayed to me by expert on this subject and after trying myself for ages i followed it exactly n it worked first time ....take your time doin it n watch the fob lights workin ...back soon cheers mozz

dont see what fob has to do with the windows and mirrors not working.

iHave you checked if the outstation is actually getting 12volts.ASFAIK there are two pins which should have 12volts (pins 6 and 10 on the socket fed from the becm)

Yep there is power going to the outstation in 2 wires as you say. A thick wire purple and a blue trace and a thinner wire purple with a black trace.

The fob is flashing when turning in the door but doesnt flash when put in the ignition
 
try putting your eka code in, i think your prob is with the key/ lock but till you get it to resync you not going to have any joy..
 
is the wire off your rf box? is it is try putting it back on, all so have a look at the plug on driverside behind the post cover. i had a few problems last year looked at the plug and it was green and moldy..
 
:welcome2:the answer is there on the dash i.e. engine disabled :confused:. its telling you its disabled cos its lost the sync:doh: with you trying differnt things . i know this cos it happened to me twice in the last 2 months have a look at my previous threads on the subject ,, so try again firstly doing the e.k.a. code then doing the fob sync you just may have to try 2 or 3 times the whole sequence.. have patience and your reward will come !!!!!!! if you want p.m. and ill give you my no and u can ring me and ill'l talk u through it . cheers mozz

john windows and mirrors nothing to do with fob but if sync is lost and engine disabled it all has to be reset !!!! as per rave cheers mozz
 
But is it possible that with the window and mirror not working that the key lock wont be working either and by that not allowing me to re sync the key or use the EKA code????
 
Does the central locking work (both ways) if you press the bobber down on the drivers door? If it does, you could have a problem with either the fob or RF receiver. If it doesn't or only either locks or unlocks but not both, you have a duff microswitch in the door lock. If that's the case, you'll never get the key to sync. Either you'll need a new lock assembly or you can take it in bits and try to get them to work.
