Hi Guys need some help. Bit concerned about the gearbox on my 96 2.5dse 124000miles . The gearbox is very noisey when getting towards 3000 rpm. Gear knob vibrates like crazy and sounds really rough. Anybody got some usefull advice. Worst case how much would it cost to change box for a reconditioned one.

I just had my gearbox and transfer box fully reconditioned and they charged me £950 for cash.. was ment to be £1180
 
If you want decent oils, look no further than www.DIFFLOCK.com

I changed my manual gearbox oil, transfer box oil, and both diff oils. Gears select much easier, no noise when going from hi to lo from transfer box.
