When I am turning the wheel, I hear a click/knock noise. After some investigation I am thinking that the noise is coming from the steering ignition lock hole. I have removed the ignition and found out that one side of the steering shaft's lock hole is hitting both sides of the steering column (outer tube) lock hole, when the steering is turned. ... I was fixing the ignition a few days ago, as the switch was worn out, could I have damaged the edges of the lock hole? 
Any suggestions to what I can do to fix this problem? I am tempted to remove the shaft to check it well, but I'm not sure if it's worth the work and how to.
