noise from my defender td5 90

maybe im being paranoid but i think my 2005 defender td5 90 makes a weird noise when i accelerate, i know diesels rattle but all i have to compare it with is a 2003 citroen relay van and my 2007 vw golf plus,its got 52k on the clock ,does anyone know of a noise common with td5 or has anyone else got a strange noise .like i said i might be paranoid but id rather get any done under warranty than fork out for repairwork
 
Can you be more specific about the noise and location. Every TD5 I've been in is superbly quite`and`refined (engine wise) compared to other landies. The only noise above background you should here is the turbo whining on acceleartion
 
i hate to say this bud...but its a landy after all and mine is a 05 xs 90 with just 19k and it make some funny sounds...until its warm.
check out all the take up with ur props!
 
the 5 cyclinder engines do sound a bit different from a 4 pot diesel.Have you comared it to other td5's?If not get down to a local stealers and take a test drive in one and compare engine noise.
